Engagement & Diversity Specialist

Cortica is looking for an Engagement and Diversity Specialist to join our growing team!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage teammates, foster long-term positive change, and make a substantial impact on Cortica's teammate experience, by executing on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives as well as initiatives designed to promote culture, engagement, retention, recognition, and social and community involvement.

What will you do?


  • Execute on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives that support the goals and strategies set forth by Cortica leadership
  • Create and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to act as an agent of change, foster multi-channel communication, and amplify Cortica's DEI and teammate experience efforts
  • Support multi-channel teammate feedback by administering engagement surveys and DEI surveys, assisting with results analysis and communication strategies
  • Collaborate with the senior engagement and diversity specialist to lead the DEI Committee and support related affinity groups
  • Partnering with a co-lead, facilitate the Culture & Community Workgroup and Wellness Workgroup, including planning and executing events and appreciation days to support teammate connection, recognition, and well-being in alignment with Cortica's core values
  • Administer company-wide recognition initiatives, including staff gifting and awards
  • Craft communications that inform, influence, and inspire teammates, and encourage teammates to engage with Cortica's DEI and teammate experience programming
  • Develop creative content to promote company culture and highlight our commitment to DEI and a positive teammate experience
  • Prepare and submit diversity-related mandated reporting, such as the EEO-1 report and California Pay Data report
  • Provide administrative assistance with booking travel accommodations for teammates as needed
  • Undertake additional initiatives related to culture, engagement, and retention as assigned

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have at least one (1) year of experience working in human resources or a related field
  • You have at least six (6) months of experience in administering employee engagement, employee experience, and/or diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs
  • You have a passion for creating an inclusive company culture that amplifies the voices of people from all backgrounds, including those related to race, ethnicity, religion, veteran status, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, and people with disabilities, among others
  • You enjoy using technology to engage, inform, and connect with others, and to enhance the quality of your work
  • You have excellent organizational and project management skills
  • You have strong communication and presentation abilities
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills
  • You have a desire to continuously learn and contribute to new projects or areas
  • You have demonstrated experience working with sensitive subject matter and situations requiring confidentiality

The base pay range for this opening is $26.37 to $29.66. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
