Payroll and Tax Specialist

The Payroll & Tax Compliance Specialist will be responsible for helping R365 customers with all R365 Payroll Tax functions. They will collaborate closely with internal teams and Taxing jurisdictions.

How you'll add value:

Research, reconcile and prepare tax returns in a timely manner for federal, state, local jurisdictions
Generate and complete EFTPS Batch Processor payments to the IRS
Setup and maintain portal access for various jurisdictions
File annually state and local W2s and annual reconciliations
Assist Payroll Operations with quarterly, year-end, and annual compliance activities.
Research payroll tax issues raised by internal stakeholders and customers and provide guidance
Able to meet and exceed strict deadlines while handling high volume of clients
Other duties as assigned

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

2+ years of tax & payroll compliance analysis or related experience; or advanced degree and equivalent work experience
Demonstrated working knowledge of U.S. local, state, and federal payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure product and services are compliant
Attention to detail and strong organizational and work prioritization skills
Knowledge and experience in the SaaS / Software industry preferred, but not required
Advanced demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel and tax and payroll systems and how they operate
Ability to create, maintain, and improve processes in effort to increase overall team efficiency
Exemplary analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills including experience with large amounts of data and in developing audit reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms
Ability to work with company executives to understand the company’s business needs and strategy
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when accessing sensitive information

Compensation: Restaurant365 focuses on equitable pay for our team and aims for transparency with our pay practices. This position has a salary range of $25-$31.25 per hour. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
