Engineer

Job Description:

Work Location: Remote & Hicksville ( 175 E. Old County Rd. Hicksville, NY) - Must be LOCAL as the contractor will need to work in-office frequently .

Duties:

• Conduct a technical review of contracts in accordance with power purchase agreements.
• Review invoices based on power purchase contracts.
• Possess a strong understanding of the operational behavior of various generating units such as solar, renewable, wind, and combined cycle generators.
• Seeking an individual with expertise in contract design, contract review, and invoice creation based on power purchase agreements.
• Engage in a comprehensive analysis of energy generation invoices, identifying potential errors and ensuring compliance with contractual terms. Collaborate with counterparts to resolve disputes.
• Develop tracking mechanisms aligned with SharePoint invoicing.
• The team currently utilizes SharePoint.
• Provide assistance in the operational management of interconnected resources on transmission and distribution systems.
• Offer support and problem resolution to the Manager of Power Asset Engineering, coordinating with relevant partners such as Legal, Procurement, Tax, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Properties, Survey & Mapping.
• Prior experience in the utility sector is preferred, although client-provided training will be available.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel skills, including macro programming and database tools, is a requirement.
• Familiarity with SAP and SharePoint is beneficial.
• Possess strong communication skills.
• An engineering degree is mandatory, with a preference for electrical engineering as the manager's top choice.

This resource will perform 2 tasks for Contract Management :

Invoice Processing

Assist the team operational management of the unit.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hicksville, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
