Engineering Intern

Overall responsibilities and duties: An Engineering Intern will support the engineering team in a variety of departments, including (but not limited to) concept engineering, PPV, customer engineering and Program team. The intern will function to complete engineering deliverables as defined by the functional manager.

The main missions of the role are: o Support execution of engineering changes o Learns how to produce/develop processes for production environment’s o Assists with alternative solutions o Maintain strong familiarity with customer CAD/BOM & the integrity o Completes all assignments with the prescribed schedules o Search and propose improvements to optimize our process/flows o Assist Faurecia Excellence Team on layout changes and lean manufacturing tools deployment o Help production Team Leaders and Supervisors to identify and solve their production issues

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be: Minimum education level: Working towards a degree in Business, Engineering or related field Experience:

o Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA o Sophomore, Junior, Senior status Skills and competencies: o Production/process/lean manufacturing experience would be a plus o Experience on 2D/3D design, at least 2D (AutoCAD, CAD) o Continuous improvement mindset o Problem diagnosis and analytic skills o Results oriented with strong written and oral communication skills o Ability to work in a matrixed organization o Self-sufficient FAU-F-EEG-2500 EN / Issue 07 – 07/17 Property of Faurecia Page 2/2 Internal Documentation 5acXjzUk o Self-starter o Strong interpersonal and team skills o Strong organization skills o Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills o Strong analytical skills o Proficient level of English Affiliation Job Family: Engineerin
