English Language Specialist Intern (Part-Time)

As an English Language Specialist Intern you will:

Be responsible for writing and translating texts, documents, and content (Eng – Spa / Spa – Eng) with a high degree of grammatical and orthographical accuracy.

Provide resume critiques according to resume best practices.

Edit and rewrite existing resumes.

Write resumes from scratch with candidate-provided data.

Interact with candidates as necessary by phone and email.

Create content for resume summaries.

Be a student of the following careers:

-Linguistics Applied to the Teaching and Translation of English (9th or 10th semester)

-Degree in Communication Sciences

-Journalism and Media

-Philosophy and Letters

Internship Eligibility:

All students must be at least 18 years old.

At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 18 months.

Ability to work towards goals on an individual and team level.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task competing responsibilities.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

An understanding of the IT industry and job functions.

Knowledge of various resume formats and the ability to work on an online resume builder.

Experience as a resume writer.

Program:

All candidates must be available for a minimum period of 6 months.

All candidates must be willing to work 20 hours/week or to commit to delivering the projects of the week on time.

  • Work experience as a technical or content writer, UX writer, translator, copywriter, or English teacher.
  • BSc in English, Translation, Language Sciences, Linguistics, Communications, or similar.
  • C1 or C2 English level (exclusionary).
  • Impeccable writing and spelling skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in English grammar and vocabulary.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Apple packages and tools.
  • Time management skills with the ability to observe and keep track of tasks.
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and creative.
  • Proactive and dynamic with initiative.
  • Able to follow, keep track, and improve processes.
  • Able to present clean work.
  • Empathetic with human relations skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Acute and common sense.
  • Decision-making.
  • Able to multi-task effectively.

It is a plus (but not a requirement) if you have:

  • Some knowledge of IT technologies and skills.
