About the role

As the Communications Executive, your primary focus will be to handle all aspects of internal communication and in addition, supporting with external communications as required. This is an exciting position within our in-house marketing team, where you will play a key role in the business's growth and success.

You will work across all business areas, particularly with our people team, galvanising our internal comms and raising our profile to diverse audiences, including landowners and farmers, ecologists, forward-thinking corporations, building developers, and government stakeholders. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a talented team of marketing and PR experts to hone your skills in a fast-moving and collaborative environment.

As such, we seek a well-organised individual with a passion for writing to amplify our pioneering brand in a vital and emergent sector.

Internal Communications:

  • Implement a best-in-class internal comms plan to improve employee engagement, including executing our internal newsletter, Team Leader Briefings, and internal-facing comms platforms
  • Use your writing skills, creativity, and knowledge of comms channels to ensure that our largely remote working organisation is connected and up to date with the latest news and key business information 
  • Proactively seek out and bring to life the brilliant stories within the business by building strong relationships across departments
  • Work with a small cross-functional team to deliver our internal events     

External Communications:

  • Work alongside our PR and Public Affairs agency to support all activities, including drafting press releases to the highest standard and organising visits to our Habitat Bank for journalists and government stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, our landowner partners, and clients to create brilliant stories that bring to life Environment Bank's positive impact
  • Support with content for social media, reports, presentations, FAQ documents, case studies and brochures

·       Proven experience in a comms role, ideally across internal and external comms

·       First class writing ability – you will need to be talented wordsmith, who loves to write  

·       Experience of devising and executing communications plans in a professional environment

·       Strong organisational skills

·       Results-driven with the aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious scale-up business

·       Desire to work in an environmental, sustainability-driven business would be beneficial
