Environmental Service Aide - Part Time 24/hours week - Day shift - Methodist Hospital - South Philadelphia
Must be available weekends and holidays.
Primary Responsibilities:
Daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nurses' stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and/or any other area assigned in accordance with the established procedures of the Environmental Services Department. Performs major floor cleaning and re finishing.
Essential Functions:
Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules using prescribed methods. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Performs major cleaning to carpeted and non carpeted floors. Reports problems such as broken windows, hand rails, etc. to Group Leader and/or Supervisor. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital
Educational / Training Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D).
Should be familiar with, if not proficient in, the correct use of chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment assigned. Prefer general knowledge of and background in infection control practices in a health care facility.
