Environmental Services Aide - 1st Shift (7:30am-3:30pm)

TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. With five medical helicopters*, we transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need. The hospital is home to one of the busiest solid organ transplant centers in the country. TGH is a nationally designated comprehensive stroke center, and has a 32-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. Other outstanding centers include cardiovascular, orthopedics, high-risk and normal obstetrics, urology, ENT, endocrinology, and the Children’s Medical Center, which features a nine-bed pediatric intensive care unit and pediatric kidney transplant services. The Environmental Services (EVS) department is an integral part of TGH and maintains cleanliness for 1.7 million square feet of both direct and indirect patient care. As a member of the Environmental Services Team for the largest Level 1 Trauma Center in the area, team members are a part of the frontline care team helping to heal some of the sickest patients. With over 1,000 licensed beds, TGH EVS Aides complete more than 200,000 room cleans each year. Extensive training is provided to ensure team members can effectively and confidently follow standard procedures in the safe clean-up and disposal of infectious waste while safely using cleaning chemicals in accordance with CDC, the Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
