Job Overview:
Will assist with cleaning and servicing the hospital; including a wide range of housekeeping tasks and projects; operation of a mop cart, vacuum cleaner, floor machines and carpet cleaning equipment.
Responsibilities:
Shriners Children's Boston is seeking a week-day Environmental Services Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for cleaning of offices, patient rooms, and public areas.
There are two positions available, one on the day shift, 7:00am-3:30pm and the evening shift from 2:30pm-11:00pm.
Qualifications:
1 year housekeeping, custodian, janitorial, or general cleaning experience is required-
Experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting is preferred

Ability to perform detailed tasks

Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Experience operating housekeeping equipment is preferred

Training in housekeeping cleaning methods is preferred

Knowledge of cleaning chemical usage is preferred

Knowledge of infection control methods for housekeeping procedures is preferred
