Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for an Epic Testing Coordinator reporting into our Corporate Headquarters. The Epic Testing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing testing activities related to the implementation, upgrades, and maintenance of the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail to ensure the successful testing and validation of the Epic EMR system. The Testing Coordinator will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Epic analyst, Informatics, project managers, end-users, and vendors, to plan, execute, and monitor the testing process.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include developing and implementing the overall testing strategy and plan for the Epic EMR system, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing; collaborating with Epic analysts, informatics and subject matter experts to define test objectives, scope and test cases based on requirements and system design; and coordinating and facilitating testing activities across different teams, ensuring test schedules, resources and domains are properly planned and allocated.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience with software testing, methodologies, test planning, test execution and issue tracking processes. 5 years of experience with Epic EMR modules, workflows and integration points required. A Bachelor's Degree - or equivalent clinical or IT experience - is required. Key skills for this role include the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving work environments.
