WHO WE NEED

We are looking for a contractor to join our team as our Equipment and Inventory Manager! The role of the Equipment and Inventory Manager is an important role in the daily functions of the Events team. As part of the Events team, this position will be responsible for maintaining inventory of hardware necessary to set up and execute onsite events, managing the shipping and receiving needs of the Events team, ensuring proper functionality of GTR software suite on all hardware bundles, and providing process documentation and support functions for the organization as needed.

This role is a temporary contract position and will not be eligible for benefits.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Ownership and upkeep of hardware including laptops, tablets, phones, scanning devices, cabling, etc.
  • Inventory management
  • Shipping/receiving logistics planning and execution
  • Expertise with GTR software suite installation and functionality
  • Process documentation creation and updates for hardware logistics and instillation procedures
  • Process documentation and user guides creation and updates for GTR software
  • Logistics planning and execution as needed for on-site events
  • QA and testing of finished products
  • Organization upkeep with official policies and procedures
  • Supporting team members for their client events

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Three to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience in equipment and inventory management, IT support, shipping/receiving, and/or project management required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn technology quickly to a level where you can teach others
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in using computer applications
  • This an in-person role located at the GTR equipment office in Charlotte, NC.
  • The person must occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds
  • While considered a “non-travel” support role, it may be required to travel as needed to support hardware instillation and/or troubleshooting and/or attend company meetings. Travel expected to be less that 5-10% annual.
