Join our Team! We are looking for an Escrow Assistant to provide support to our Escrow department by assisting with customer service and administrative duties related to preparing for the closing of real property transactions where title is being insured.
Job Responsibilities:
1.) Opens escrow files and provide closing statements from worksheet prepared by Escrow Officer.
2.) Prepare documents for closing and manage complete disbursement and follow up of all escrow transactions.
3.) Convey requirements and other information to clients including Title exceptions.
Interpret earnest money agreements related to closing and prepare all documents required for escrow transactions.
4.) Process opening orders, initiate file set up, allocate funds and write transmittals for funds and documents for escrow process.
5.) Assist customers by providing general information on company escrow services, procedures and status of files.
6.) Perform quality control, vesting check and legal on mortgage to validate against commitment and send documents to record following established guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1.) Knowledge of the purpose and use of title insurance and of related services; of the purpose and terminology of legal instruments involved in escrow transactions.
2.) Analytical ability sufficient to perform varied tasks of limited complexity guided by general company escrow procedures and escrow supervisor instructions.
3.) Strong customer service orientation.
4.) Strong verbal skills.
5.) Ability to operate a computer and to use common office suite software, such as Outlook and word processing.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, courses in bookkeeping and mathematics desired.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
