Job Title: Ruby on Rails DeveloperLocation: 100% Remote RoleDuration: 12 MonthsDaily Schedule: 8 hours a day; 8-4 pm CST or Mountain time zoneInterview Process: 1st round is 30 min and then a take home coding exercise with a follow up with the team.Positions Contributions To Work Group:• We are actively looking for a talented with a strong background in the Ruby on Rails, coupled with hands-on experience in working with relational database systems such as Postgres. Your expertise and innovative mindset will be integral to our ongoing success.Reason/motivation For Request:• New HeadcountTypical Task Breakdown:• Daily scrum meeting• Understand assignment• Provide update on tasks assigned• Work with team lead to clarify any requirements• Work with test engineer to validate code• provide , comments• participate in other team scrum ceremoniesInteraction With Team:• working daily with team lead and test engineer• Work with IST team also working on the same product• Team is 7 folks (6 engineers and 1 QA) , daily stand ups, 2 week sprints and Spring kickoff every 2nd Tuesday.• Working with other teams as well (Cross Collaboration).Work Environment:• Home office; fully remote or Denver area.Education & Experience Required:• Bachelor/masters degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.• No degree ok but must have 7+ years experience• 5-7 years of relevant experience required.(Required)Technical Skills" 5+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience with strong knowledge of core concepts and object-oriented programming principles. (more recent Rails experience )" Ruby on Rails back-end stack exp" Strong database experience." Unit testing experience." Writing scripts" Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications." Strong Client on RESTful services, particularly within Spring Boot." Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework." Expertise in designing highly scalable asynchronous systems." Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit and build tools like Maven or Gradle." Collaborate with QA" Experience with version control systems, especially Git."
