Business Title Manufacturing Parts Assistant
Department Number/Name 50 / Manufacturing
Working hours 6:00am - 3:00pm, 1 hr lunch and OT as required

Maintain accurate inventory records by performing all transactions in Company software, including the use of cycle counting
Maintain TRD's Manufacturing Warehouse in a clean, orderly and professional manor.
Issue material in SysPro, verifying balance of inventory.
Organize parts going to outside processing and laser.
Loading cell material organization, creating labels and laying out materials.
Create a routine/ schedule to manage time and prepare work as needed.
Identify rework instances and participate in solutions to prevent rework.
Identify forward thinking solutions to prepare for incoming work.

Education, Training, Certification, Experience
List special technical, academic or other knowledge required as a minimum qualification in this job. Describe how much and what type of additional work experience is required as a minimum for this job.
• AA Degree, completed trade course or relevant classes in Manufacturing / Warehousing
• Solid organization skills, in order to properly prioritize multiple levels of daily, weekly, etc... assigned tasks
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of ERP/MRP systems, in order to understand what drives the manufacturing demand
Or, Preferred Experience As Described Below
• Direct hands-on experience with inventory control systems, including cycle counting
• Direct hands-on experience operating a fork-lift
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
• Preferred Experience
Knowledge of basic automotive engine components
Direct experience in a manufacturing type environment, including a strong understanding in ''Lean Manufacturing''
Prior experience and strong background in manufacturing
• Computer Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Project, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of typical software applications, in regard to Manufacturing and Quality Control
Requirements to do the job – Physical requirements that team members must be able to do as part of the job on a daily or weekly basis. (i.e., push, pull, lift, travel, etc.)
SCHEDULE: Must be available to work: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00am
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift parts up to 50lbs.
• Ability to complete, pass and operate a lift truck or fork lift and fork lift safety certification program (provided by TRD) Prior to starting the assignment. Details regarding how/when this will be scheduled are are to be determined
