We currently have an opening in Las Vegas, NV for a Technical Writer working with one of our strategic Fintech partners. This is a full-time, in-office permanent position. As a Technical Writer, you'll have the opportunity to be part of this innovative company that is helping to shape the future of finance.
Under general supervision, the technical writer is responsible for creating technical and user help content. This process involves writing and editing documentation based on information gathered by working closely with software developers, architects, product managers, and quality assurance personnel, as well as performing independent research. The technical writer would also participate in the development of departmental procedures, training, and standards. Duties also include answering questions regarding documentation and distribution of documentation requests.
- Project Management
- Completes assigned projects/tasks on or before agreed time.
- Reports accurate task status.
- Identifies and communicates to the team lead issues that may or will jeopardize the task.
- Technical Writing
- Collects information and drafts content for technical and user help documents by coordinating with software architects, developers, product managers, and QA personnel.
- Communicates the information needed by a user or internal stakeholder to use the product.
- Follows the company’s standards to design the content and layout of documentation.
- Writes with a focus on grammar, punctuation, content, and usability.
- Documentation Editing
- Edits user and technical manuals and user help content for completeness of information.
- Successfully identify errors within the documentation.
- Ensures documentation standards are met.
- Problem Resolution
- Identify problems and their resolution.
- Communicate such resolutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, or 4 years comparable experience.
- Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to communicate professionally with software architects and developers, as well as QA personnel.
- Very strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with team members, as well as independently.
- Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to use the rules of good writing.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work.
- Comfortable learning to use Euronet products to independently research and verify information provided by software architects and programmers, as well as QA personnel.
- Experience with writing documentation for a software development organization a plus.
- Knowledge of the gaming industry considered a plus.
