Position Summary:
EVgo is hiring a UI/UX Designer to help craft seamless and intuitive user experiences across our digital platforms. You will collaborate with both the design team and other departments to shape the next generation of EVgo products. In this role, you'll conduct user research, gather insights from interviews and surveys, and transform them into elegant user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that enhance EVgo’s customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Translate concepts into user flows, wire frames, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences across a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates your experience, storytelling, and design presentation skills.
- Strong UI skills ensuring every high-fidelity design feels finished and polished.
- Work closely with other designers in the team, fostering a collaborative, productive, and positive environment.
- Maintain and further build design team workflows that ensure that all designs delivered are in line with style guides and are of high-quality standards.
- Prior experience in reviewing existing design systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations.
- Build a UX / UI style guide for new products while setting and maintaining UX / UI design standards.
- Able to contribute to and build design systems and components libraries; Adept at maintaining design systems and aligning to Design team goals.
- Able to manage self and others to stay on track with a project; Ensure that the projects are delivered on a timely manner.
- Provides clear feedback to other designers, developing presentations, and other design assets.
- Strong eye for detail and managing design through to developer or product hand off
- Strong knowledge of the HIG, Material UI, and other design frameworks.
- Ability to keep up with the latest design trends.
- Able to quickly identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
- Works within an agile software development environment able to deliver required designs on schedule.
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 5 years of UI/UX design experience; Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing for both Android and iOS mobile applications.
- Designing for HMIs and other user interfaces is also a plus.
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Miro, Dovetail and other design tools is a must; Basic HTML, CSS, Photoshop, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
- Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet EVgo’s needs and vision.
- Extensive experience in using UI and UX design best practices to design solutions with an understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment, with a sense of responsibility and urgency
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $130,000 USD to $150,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unbounded paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
