Job Description

To support the Expeditors facility in the pursuit of Warehouse Excellence by promoting a culture of safety and security in a facility that is efficient and meet high quality standards through continuous improvement and modernization.

Facility Operations

  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment
  • Maintain warehouse procedures and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and professional facility
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe operational condition
  • Manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies
  • Provide input to warehouse budget, includes staffing and overtime expenses, equipment procurement and maintenance, and facility repair

Labor/Development Management

  • Onboard, develop, and support staff within area of responsibility, includes permanent and contingent staff
  • Coordinate scheduling and ensure proper coverage
  • Lead team in warehouse excellence
  • Support employee versatility (cross training)

Operations and Quality

  • Oversee the processes in the area of responsibility, following operational standards (OPS) and KPI expectations
  • Improve safety, quality, delivery and cost through continuous improvement methods
  • Maintain compliance to facility certification requirements and government policies
  • Participate in transitioning new customers as needed
  • Manage, prevent, and resolve inventory, over/short/damage, process and customer exceptions
  • Perform process audits to ensure security and safety of people, facility, and freight
  • Skills/Experience
  • Developing management, team leadership, customer service, and account management skills
  • Implementation of Security, Health & Safety requirements
  • Expertise in warehouse management system used in facility & supporting technology
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in Expeditors process fundamentals
  • Comfortable with statistics and analysis of productivity and KPI Performance

  • Fork-lift certification may be required within 6 months of employment.

Additional Information

Starting Pay: 60-70k base salary, eligible for bonus
