Job Description

Experian are looking for a Software Engineer with a focus on mobile development frameworks to join our Optimisation Team within the Consumer Services business (ECS).

We are a customer-facing business with an exciting product roadmap. You will create optimisation and personalisation programs across our mobile and web platforms as we test out new changes to our ECS products. Additionally, you will help cross-skill frontend engineers into the Flutter framework (our mobile platform of choice).

While mobile development will be the core skill required for this role, you will also work on frontend web optimizations. You will work with other developers in the team, and engineers in other tech areas and partners across the Marketing team.

This is a hybrid position & can be based in Nottingham or London. You will report to the Technical Team Leader for D2C Marketing.

Qualifications

Practical experience in the following frameworks/technologies

  • You will have experience with cross platform mobile app development, building reliable and scalable platforms using Flutter or similar as part of a Software Delivery Team.
  • React or React based frameworks such as Next.JS. JavaScript (ES6+)/ TypeScript
  • Two or more of CSS, SCSS, SASS, LESS, Styled components
  • Experience working with a Tagging Technology such as Google Analytics or equivalent.
  • Testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest and Enzyme / RTL

Additional experience with the following will also be of interest:-

  • Practical experience in Node.JS, Redux, Express
  • Experience mentoring or knowledge sharing in a professional capacity
  • Experience working with AB testing Technologies (we use Conductrics but experience with other equivalent tools such as AB Tasty or Adobe Target also acceptable)
  • Experience working with a Microservice architecture consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
