Job Title: Administrative Assistant/BuyerDepartment: OperationsPay Rate: DOEEmployment Type: Full-time, Long-term, Hourly, Non-ExemptJob Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Administrative Assistant/Buyer to join our team. This is a long-term position supporting one of our clients, where you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities include the timely transfer of information to internal and external customers, generating accounts receivable documents, and maintaining inventory of consumables to meet business needs. Personnel in this role will work closely with internal team members across various departments, including Operations, Sales, Shipping and Receiving, and Accounting, as well as with external customers.This role is in-person and requires a candidate who is open to a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.Key Responsibilities:• Adhere to company safety and quality management policies and procedures.• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.• Evaluate supplier performance and manage the approved vendor list.• Collect, analyze, and summarize purchasing data and trends.• Ensure all purchases meet company specifications; generate and manage purchase orders and requisitions.• Review bid proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage pricing agreements within budget.• Maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available when needed.• Resolve shipment issues with suppliers and maintain accurate purchasing records.• Track and manage budget expenses.• Participate in meetings to discuss lead times, shipment forecasts, and delivery schedules.• Collaborate with various departments to generate and distribute reports.Qualifications:• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.• Strong organizational and communication skills.• Ability to work effectively with multiple departments.• Knowledge in creating purchase orders.• Flexibility in scheduling and availability for in-person work.This is a long-term position supporting one of our clients, and the hiring process will be managed through a staffing agency.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:• 401(k)• Dental insurance• Health insurance• Paid time off• Vision insuranceSchedule:• 8 hour shift• Monday to FridayExperience:• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Ability to Commute:• Richardson, TX 75081 (Required)Ability to Relocate:• Richardson, TX 75081: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
