Community Outreach Coordinator

Express Employment is assisting a Danville IL organization with the hiring of a Community Health Services Educator.Basic Duties include:• Community Health Promotion: Supports the Vermilion County Health Department's mission by promoting community health and public health principles.• Program Development: Assists in planning and developing public health programs, meetings, and conferences.• Emergency Preparedness: Collaborates with the preparedness coordinator to develop training materials and facilitate training sessions for VCHD staff and local stakeholders.• Community Outreach: Works with community partners to promote VCHD services and programs.• Health Education Materials: Coordinates the development and evaluation of health education materials and curricula.• Community Engagement: Conducts programs to promote interest in VCHD and public health education through speaking engagements and outreach activities.• Professional Development: Continues to expand knowledge base through attending conferences and workshops.• Community Navigation: Assists underserved populations in accessing public health and social services.• Grant Management: When applicable, assists with grant writing, monitoring, and reporting.Requirements in order to considers for this position:• Bachelor's degree in health education or related field preferred.• Master's degree in public health preferred.• Related experience in health education or in a community health setting is preferred. Prior program management experience, including planning, budgeting, and staffing is preferred.• Prior experience in grant writing is preferred.• Requires a reliable motor vehicle for work-related travel.• Requires a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.• All required licenses must be maintained in an active status without suspension or revocation through employment.• Be able to work flexible hours including after-hours assignments.This is an Evaluation to Hire position out of the Express Employment- Waukegan location- working location will be in DANVILLE ILExpress Employment Professionals is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
