Extreme Networks, a growing multinational provider of cloud networking solutions and industry leading services and support, is seeking an International Tax Manager to assist with managing global tax risks and costs, ensure compliance with all foreign tax reporting and compliance requirements for Extreme’s activities performed outside the US and assist with international tax accounting and planning. This position will report to the Vice President of Tax.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
· Assist with international aspects of the quarterly global tax provision process including review of foreign tax provisions, GILTI, BEAT, Sub F and FTC calculations
· Liaise with international finance team members to ensure foreign tax reporting and compliance is completed timely including provision to return reconciliations
· Research international technical tax issues and manage related technical documentation
· Drive cohesive global transfer pricing initiatives including proper transfer pricing documentation, updates relating to M&A activity, maintenance of intercompany agreements and oversee annual benchmarking
· Ensure global compliance with BEPs requirements and filings including Pillar 2
· Preparation/Review of foreign components of the US Federal tax return (5471’s, 8858’s, 1118,8891, 8892, 8893, 8975)
· Support Corporate Finance, Legal, Treasury, Accounting, Sales and Operations teams on tax matters for Extreme’s foreign operations
· Assist with compliance and planning relating to Permanent Establishments, withholding tax, FATCA, Subpart F, GILTI and BEAT
· Perform technical review of Extreme’s GILTI and foreign tax credit calculations including analysis around sourcing of income and allocation of expenses
· Manage audit activity for Extreme’s foreign subsidiaries in conjunction with local service providers
· Partner with international finance and legal to effectively manage tax risks globally
· Assist with global tax planning and modeling of proposed US and international tax legislation
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
· CPA and/or Master’s degree in tax
· 8 - 10 years diverse public accounting and/or public company tax experience with an emphasis on international tax
· Solid understanding of the international tax provisions of the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations
· Familiarization with foreign compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong organizational, analytical and inter-personal skills
· Advanced technology experience with Excel and PowerPoint; Onesource and Oracle experience a plus
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and be hands-on
