As a provider of core investment products, CSIM is both an important enabler in fulfilling Schwab’s mission of helping everyone be financially fit and critical engine in the company’s profitability and growth.The CSIM Trade Operations Team (TOPS) provides control and oversight to the portfolio managers (PMs) & traders as it relates to the daily trade processing, settlements and corporate actions on behalf of the Schwab mutual fund and exchange traded fund (ETF) products. We hold ourselves to the highest of standards, and strive to create a strong functional atmosphere in which our PMs and Traders can focus solely on making effective decisions for our funds and our clients.Responsibilities for this role will include:• Monitor and interpret new and updated corporate action announcements identified through the review of custodian websites and internal corporate action processing system• Communicate all voluntary corporate action events to portfolio managers and work with them to obtain their elections• Cash and position reconciliation.• Trade confirmation, transmission, and settlement.• Identifying, investigating and resolving trade, cash, and position issues.• Communicating with and monitoring our external vendors (brokers, prime brokers, custodians, accountants, etc.) and internal partners.• Ensuring data integrity and assisting with system maintenance.• Assist in the completion of operational projects.• Support management in his/her absence.• Find efficiencies in our current workflow• Liaison between operational teams• Provide support for managers on critical issuesWhat you have• Bachelor’s degree required• 2-3 years corporate actions experience• Familiarity with IHS Markit IMActions corporate action processing system preferred• Experience with separately managed accounts and/or 40 ACT funds preferred• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines• Familiarity with trading and settlement processes for equity, cash or fixed income instruments• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions• Ability to work independently – requiring minimal instruction on day-to-day work in operational processes• Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship building skills• Ability to identify and solve issues proactively and independently• Ability to work a flex 8 hour schedule between 7:00am - 5:00pm CSTIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.What’s in it for youAt Schwab, we’re committed to empowering our employees’ personal and professional success.
