Investment Specialist - Remote

At Facet, we put our members above all else. As an Investment Specialist, you will live out this value each day as you deliver sound, actionable investment-related advice and guidance to our members. We are firm believers that human planners are a key component of delivering a truly magical financial planning experience for our members. This critically important role, in conjunction with planners and other specialists will help to ensure that each of our members is able to optimize their financial plan for every facet of their life.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative expertise to our members that facilitates investment management at Facet.
  • Consult with members to effectively help them utilize the investment offering that is included in their Facet Membership benefits.
  • Meet with ~20 members each week via videoconference, phone, and e-mail to communicate Facet’s unique investment management strategies, effective process and distinct offering in context with their overall financial plans.
  • Resolve any potential client objections to investing at Facet directly and through targeted message campaigns, building a library of content for planners and clients to access.
  • Drive Influence with members to target 75% of interactions resulting in Facet-managed accounts.
  • Work with members to implement their portfolio recommendations by coordinating account opening and funding activities with our Investment Operations team.
  • Coordinate with Facet’s Head of Investments to deepen investment acumen and drive thought-leadership. In addition, participate in small Q&A sessions and live webinars designed to communicate Facet’s research-backed investment philosophy to members.

Job Specific Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working directly with clients in financial services, preferably in an investment related setting with demonstrated success in understanding client goals and relevant investment saving strategies/vehicles.
  • Must be able to be registered as an Investment Advisor Representative under a SEC Registered RIA: CFP® Designation, Series 65 or Series 7/66 Combo (upon hire Facet will only register a Series 66 license as an Investment Advisor Representative and cannot hold any representatives active BD Series Licenses)
  • Experience with (and interest in learning) a wide range of investment concepts including modern portfolio theory, tax advantaged accounts, brokerage accounts, and global asset allocation strategies.
  • Superb consultative positioning skills, communication, organizational, and client service skills to establish rapport with members and Facet Planners.
  • Work independently and as a member of a team, balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and demonstrate exceptional time and calendar management skills.
  • Must be able to meet and consistently maintain the minimum WiFi standards in order to efficiently work in the Company’s environment, and effect quality online connections
  • If these WiFi speeds are not met, it will be the employee’s responsibility to troubleshoot and potentially upgrade to meet the minimum speed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFP® designation and/or other applicable credentials (Ex. CFA or CIMA) highly desired
  • Embody a continuous improvement mindset, learn Google suite and become proficient in new computer systems or digital tools.
  • Experience in a start-up or Agile environment with demonstrated ability to create innovations that improve the member experience or yield efficiencies for the business.
  • Have critical thinking and leadership skills to provide constructive feedback to enhance our culture of continuous improvement and building of a generational FinTech company.
  • $80,000- $95,000 annual salary + bonus determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant - Please note, our salary ranges are based on current market data.
