OverviewHudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Commercial Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all HVCU commercial lending portfolio management functions including the thorough review of all loans upon their initial acquisition, ongoing expansion, and overall retention. To further include direct member calls and follow up needed to ensure commercial loan files are complete and up to date for annual reviews. Conduct site visits and meetings with members, as needed.Responsibilities• Oversee and manage the commercial loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with all relevant lending laws, regulations and HVCU’s lending policies. Monitor the performance of existing loans and analyzing renewals.• Ensure the collection of required information needed for all commercial loan portfolio maintenance. Support Commercial Loan Officers with loan modification (rate/guarantor etc) requests Work closely with internal teams, risk management/collections/legal/underwriting, to facilitate the lending process.• Evaluate credit of potential borrowers through analysis of financial statements, market trends, and other factors to assess risk and determine appropriate lending terms.• Track market trends and economic activity to identify opportunities and risks within the portfolio.• Proactively develop and maintain relationships with members and offer solutions that align to their business goals. Ensure ballooning mortgages and expiring lines of credit are contacted for retention.• Provide regular updates/reports to Loan Origination and Commercial Lending management, as required.• Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.• Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities.
