Family Law Paralegal

Our client, a well-known Family Law Firm with an excellent reputation, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team in Dallas. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and assisting with various aspects of family law cases. This onsite position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our firm’s success and work alongside a dedicated team of legal professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence matters.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents and information are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings, court hearings, and other appointments.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates, request information, and answer general inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial binders, exhibits, and other materials for court proceedings.
  • Conduct factual investigations, including interviewing clients and potential witnesses.
  • Collaborate with other paralegals, attorneys, and support staff to efficiently manage caseloads.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or completion of a recognized paralegal program.
  • 1-5 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in a family law setting.
  • Strong knowledge of family law principles, procedures, and relevant statutes.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with e-filing systems and court rules in Texas (preferred).

The Firm offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
