Fastenal is hiring for Logistics Support StaffShift(s):• From Monday to Friday, a time interval of 7:00am to 5:00pm has been designated for work activity• Up to 24 hours/weekOVERVIEW:Take the leap and join us as a Logistics Support Staff, where you'll occupy a key role in our team and industrial distribution operations. You'll manage the flow of goods, develop expertise in inventory management, and have the opportunity for a flexible schedule following your onboarding and training period.RESPONSIBILITIES:This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities and tasks, including but not limited to:• Keeping an accurate record of branch inventory is essential to ensure seamless business operations• Periodic cycle counting ensures accurate inventory levels and can help prevent stockouts and overstocking• Utilizing a business-owned automobile for important local shipments• Maintaining an orderly and safe workplace can be achieved through regular cleaning, proper training, and the use of appropriate safety equipment• Undertaking supplementary tasks as required to ensure that the branch meets its objectivesREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:The job duties and responsibilities include a wide range of tasks, such as but not limited to:• This particular job is open to individuals aged 18 and above, as the skills and knowledge required to perform well on the job are typically found in those who have reached full adulthood• Having a current, legitimate driver's license issued in the same country as the job location, along with any relevant graduated licenses, is required for fulfilling the driving standards of the company• The capacity to convey ideas masterfully and articulately is fundamental in both personal and professional spheres• Proficient computer skills• Acclimatize to the agility required in executing numerous tasks swiftly• Exhibit remarkable skills in developing effective plans, organizing resources, and prioritizing tasks to achieve timely and successful project outcomes• Displaying a high level of motivation, ability to work autonomously, and a priority on providing excellent customer experiences• Carefully considering all aspects of a project and working efficiently to achieve the desired outcome is essential for achieving goals in a timely manner• A productive workplace demands proficiency in both solo and group activities• Demonstrating our essential ethics of passion, novelty, sincerity, and camaraderie• The process of transferring packages that weigh between 25lbs and 50lbs, with the occasional maximum weight of 75lbs, involves a set of actions including lifting, sliding, carrying, and finally placing them down• Meet the prerequisite of passing the required drug test which is only applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and GuamPREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:• Past familiarity with the receipt, shipment, classification, or management of stockTRAINING & DEVELOPMENT:The Fastenal School of Business is dedicated to building an empowered workforce, one that is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in any workplace.
