HR Generalist

Summary of the position

The HR Generalist will support payroll, recruitment, onboarding, policy and procedures, disciplinary actions, resignations, employee retention, events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates
  • Facilitates the pre-hiring, hiring, orientation, and onboarding processes for legal compliance
  • Ensures compliance with I-9 Verification
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs (ex: birthday, anniversary, etc.)
  • Monitors, tracks, and reports on attendance including records related to tardiness, absences, PTO, LOA, FMLA to ensure proper documentation is maintained per internal and external
  • Acts as an employee relations specialist and escalates matters as necessary
  • Ensure proper maintenance of electronic and paper employee personnel records and files
  • Tracks all disciplinary actions and may coach managers on necessary actions if needed
  • Effectively handles Unemployment Notices and attends hearings when necessary
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
  • Conduct orientation sessions and provide necessary information about company policies, procedures, and culture
  • Oversee payroll functions, including processing, reviewing, and verifying employee time and attendance
  • Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers
  • Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution, promoting a positive work environment
  • Educate employees about available benefits and assist with enrollment processes
  • Support professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on HR data
  • Responsible for the quality of the product
  • Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental
  • Other tasks assigned according to the position and company needs.


Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in an industry setting in HR
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Bilingual English-Spanish, English-Arabic, English-Pashto-Dari or African Language preferably
