Shipping Clerk

Overall responsibilities and duties:

Responsible for load of customer shipment according to the manifest and ensure accuracy of shipments by using scanning system to read Finished Goods labels when possible.

The main missions of the role are:

• Verify product being pulled matches load sheets,
• Ensure load is labelled per customer instructions,
• Verify loads are scanned into computer systems for proper verification,
• Ensure requirements of load are met and the product shipped matches customer order,
• Ship truck in timely manner,
• Ensure ASN checks
• Follow all dock safety instructions,
• Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policy
• Adhere to all work rules, policies, and procedures.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Act as supervisor in the case of absenteeism or as requested,
• Clean,
• Actively particpate in work teams,
• Implement at least two improvement idea per month,
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level: High School diploma or GED,

Skills and Competencies:

• Satisfactory company work record, including attendance,
• Successful completion of Faurecia’s in-house training program (FES Induction)
• Ability to follow instruction verbal and written - good math, language and reading skills required,
• Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels,
• Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner,
• High level of dependability and accuracy due to critical nature of position,
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

Physical Requirements:

• Job sometimes involves lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, & exerts 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects,
• Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping, and involves considerable twisting and bending,
• High mental and visual effort required,

Able and willing to work overtime when required – up to 12 hours a day / 7 days a week.
