Field Application Specialist (North America)

In this remote position, the individual will play a key role as a trusted business partner to our customers in support of recombinant albumin solutions. As the Field Application Specialist, your role will offer a hybrid working environment, split between home office and field, with travel to visit client’s facilities and conferences within North America and offering product expertise to the sales organization and for our customers. The main mission is to support sales and business development activities in drug development within the cell and gene therapy space and provide ongoing support for their success.

What you will accomplish together with us

  • Support sales and business development activities for recombinant albumin and our analytical and formulation services involving albumen material.

  • Consult with the commercial and technical business functions

  • Identify market trends, target application areas and tailor value propositions.

  • Communicate effectively to identify clients’ goals/challenges and match with Albumedix’s solutions

  • Articulate and present customers’ needs and goals internally to support and advance opportunities towards a positive outcome

  • Actively support the sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying new clients, facilitate customer collaborations, conduct market research to stay abreast of technical advances, provide value propositions in support of Marketing to align with business goals and planning activities.

  • Educate the global sales team on existing and new applications

  • Educate clients by supporting training events / lunch and learns and conferences

  • Leverage internal stakeholders to identify and develop sales tools and help with development of application specific marketing collateral

  • Create and maintain comprehensive records within the Salesforce CRM system, relating to client communications and application data

  • Support the commercial team in qualifying target accounts and leads based upon technical and strategic fit.

  • Work closely with internal subject matter leaders to align on data generation and priorities according to the needs of the commercial team

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients over Teams, and at conferences

  • Contribute thoughts and ideas within Sales team meetings, to optimize performance

  • Report monthly on progress made, market trends, competitor activities

What will convince us

  • Masters in biochemistry or related field (Ph. D and/or Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products experience is a plus

  • 3+ years’ experience in drug/formulation development process

  • Working knowledge of MS office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), experience working with CRM systems an advantage

  • Full Driver’s license and passport

  • Willingness to travel 30% to 50% domestically and twice a year internationally

Base salary offered for the position is $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 depending on experience. (Higher starting salaries may be available in other locations based on geographic differentials.)
