Basis Technologies is headquartered in Chicago, and our employees have the flexibility to work in an office location, completely remote, or a hybrid of the two. Please note, we are hiring on a remote working basis only in the U.S. and Canada.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Brand Marketing is a team of highly motivated and innovative thinkers that develops internal and external messaging for Basis Technologies' brand and solutions. Beyond speaking to specific functionalities, they understand the value of implementing Basis within the ad tech industry and are responsible for communicating those messages throughout the marketplace. Members of the team go above and beyond by demonstrating how Basis improves the lives of those working in our industry.
WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
You will be part of a cross-functional team that supports Basis Technologies’ brand across company events and marketing programs. Reporting to the SVP, Brand Marketing, every week will be different from the next with a variety of projects.

OTHER WAYS YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM ARE BY:

  • Being a key addition to the Marketing team, handling a wide range of events – virtually and in person, from 10 people to 1000+, for both external and internal audiences
  • Brainstorming regularly and identifying creative and impactful event experiences for the company’s brand, products, and services through owned and sponsored activations
  • Staying updated on promotional product trends and suggest cost-effective and creative items for each event
  • Researching venues, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
  • Adhering to Basis Technologies brand guidelines and ensuring the brand and company are well represented at events, speaking engagements, and programs
  • Owning and project managing events from start to finish including; conceptualization, detailed proposals, budgets, logistics, timelines, vendor relationships and negotiations, internal and external communications and post event follow-up
  • Applying program management expertise to events, implementing event management software, building out event-specific marketing websites, managing all aspects of registration, including coordination of event email cadences
  • Supporting the planning and execution of annual company-wide summits, including agenda and content development, vendor relations management, budgets and branding
  • Maintaining operational responsibility for event sponsorships and production costs
  • Identifying and securing speakers, special guests, and/or entertainment for events
  • Assisting with onsite logistics, including set up, registration, name badges, event collateral, troubleshooting, coordination with venue staff, and coordination of post-event resources
  • Managing marketing events calendar
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with regional, national, and international associations and event / trade organizations
  • Pitching Basis Technologies actively for non-paid and paid speaking engagements
  • Maintaining regular communication cadence between internal, corporate, and vendor partners
  • Partnering with sales leaders to plan, design, and flawlessly execute regional, national, and international events
  • Leading measurement and analysis of event metrics (registration, attendance, conversions) and coordinating post-event surveys
  • Analyzing the success of each event and propose new improvements to the attendees’ experience and impact for the company
  • Establishing and managing a marketing ‘dashboard’ that tracks ROI, effectiveness of marketing investments on leads and pipeline

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 5+ years of event planning and marketing experience
  • Past work that demonstrates your successful execution of large-scale marketing events to small VIP get-togethers
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • An unwavering attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Adaptive, proactive and growth mindset
  • Inquisitive and confident personality
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Frequent creative ideas that wow internal stakeholders, and mesmerize clients
  • An appetite to learn and keep learning about the advertising and ad-tech industries
  • Existing knowledge and experience with event management systems
  • Willingness to travel (15%)

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with Splash event marketing platform
  • Email automation programs experience (HubSpot/Pardot or similar)
  • Hidden talent and/or unique passion
  • Winning record with Rock Paper Scissors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent professional experience
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. The total compensation package for this position may also include commission or bonus, company equity, and competitive benefits.
