Our Madison, WI office has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to provide financial administrative and reporting support to the Commercial Finance team.

The Finance Assistant is responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis process, including ownership of reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting of operating expenses, daily sales, and KPI reporting.

This role is based out of our Madison, WI, office. Our ideal candidate will live within a commutable distance of Madison, as this role will have the flexibility to work a hybrid work schedule; 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH.

How You'll Contribute:
Routine Reporting and Analysis
  • Compiles and distributes daily sales/shipments reporting for Budget and Forecast.
  • Completes verification of customer price lists in system and confirms price lists for proper approvals and accuracy in the system.
  • Investigates and identifies pricing issues between the Company and customer PO.
  • Maintains data integrity of files, item costs, updated retail pricing, and assortment.
  • Collects information and assists in the completion of analysis template to evaluate close-out sale opportunities; submits to manager for review.
Ad hoc Reporting
  • Work with functional leaders and Finance Managers to complete reporting and analysis of ad hoc reporting, e.g. tracking against business cases, sales tactics, obsolescence etc.
  • Provides general support to the finance team to conduct HFM uploads.
  • Reports and tracks sales allowance and utilization.
  • Follows established formatting and upload forecasts into appropriate systems.
Monthly and Quarterly Reporting
  • Creates, maintains, and prepares reports to populate regular KPI reporting.
  • Provide other financial reporting as necessary to support business requirements.
Maintains Internal Controls
  • Reviews and audits Forecasts/Budget sales data to ensure accuracy and all pricing is captured.
  • Helps to improve current finance processes through simplification and/or automation.

What You Bring to the Table:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education/experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
1-2 years of related finance/accounting experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Some experience in problem-solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets.
High attention to detail and recognizes the importance of data accuracy.
