The expected salary range for this position is between $66k and $90k. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).

Responsibilities:
Kearney & Company is currently seeking a Senior Associate with the ability to apply critical thinking skills, knowledge, and experience of federal financial data management to develop user engagement and promote data governance initiatives to support mission needs.

Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues

Actively expand skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

Assist in the maintenance of the data governance body by delivering subject matter expertise on DHS financial data environment and operations
-
Assists with Organizational Change Management (OCM) through communications plans, branding, developing targeted communications, stakeholder management and training
-
Engage stakeholders to identify requirements
-
Generate standard operating procedures; assists with updating policies and procedures
-
Utilizes and maintains tools to track issues
-
Assist with the analysis of unstructured, and complex finance, procurement, and asset management data sets identifying data anomalies, issues, and approaches to resolve discrepancies
-
Support the identification of potential control issues within financial data and define approaches to correct errors through scripts, business process reengineering, or other resolution activity
-
Support end user training for data analytic tools
-
Support or lead the development of training materials, desktop guides, and quick reference guides to aide in data analytics tools
-
Adhere to tight deadlines with evolving requirements, prioritizing based on client risks
-
Adhere to project schedules, action logs, and dashboard reports, maintaining a list of ongoing and future activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in Accounting Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management/Business Information Systems

Minimum 2 years of financial management internships or work experience

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, as required
-
MS Excel, MS Access, and/or data analytic software skills
-
Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
-
Ability to apply federal financial accounting policy and regulations
-
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements and deadlines
-
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across both business and technical deliverables
-
Experience utilizing software i.e., JIRA, Power BI, Maestro, Tableau, MS Excel, and/or SharePoint
-
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Security Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
