Financial Markets Analyst

As a Financial Markets Analyst, you are part of a group of product specialists helping rural clients throughout the U.S. utilize derivative instruments to manage interest rate and commodity price risk.

You and Your Job:

As a Financial Markets Analyst you will be successful by being responsible for supporting the marketing and origination efforts of Rabobank’s Markets team located in St. Louis.

Rabobank’s Markets division provides hedging and risk management solutions to clients by leveraging the bank’s global expertise in interest rates, foreign exchange, commodities, and financial markets research. The Analyst will assist senior members of the Markets team in all aspects of the group’s business. The role requires exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with legal requirements. You will need to be a self-starter and comfortable managing multiple priorities in an unstructured work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage in supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of interest rate and commodity hedging transactions with clients throughout North America
  • Work as liaison between the Markets team, relationship managers and operations staff to gather customer data and on-board new clients into all internal systems
  • Prepare customized marketing presentations in PowerPoint
  • Build Excel spreadsheets for financial modeling and pricing of derivative transactions
  • Assist in preparing, sending, and retrieving legal documents, trade confirmations, and general correspondence with clients. Keep meticulous files and records of these documents
  • Independently investigate operational problems, determine solutions, analyze historical data, and prepare reports/recommendations for action by supervisor

Your Promise to Us:

To be considered for the Financial Markets Analyst role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years prior work experience in similar role (banking or financial services knowledge a plus)
  • Demonstrated robust quantitative and analytical skills along with basic knowledge of and interest in financial markets, including interest rates and commodity prices
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills (programming abilities a plus)
  • The ability to work independently and thrive in an unstructured environment

Salary Expectations:
Target Hiring Range: $85,000 - $115,000

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular position includes all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
