What does the job entail?

US Purchasing Manager – United States Expense Management Division

Seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to work in the Procurement division of the Accounting Department of the New York office of a multinational financial services group based out of Spain.

Job Description:
  • Manage the Purchasing Team
  • Understand and support the Procurement Policy and Procedures
  • Working knowledge and understanding of contract terms and conditions
  • Work directly with Lines of Business to procure goods and services needed for the organization
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure timely demand management
  • Maintaining Contract Data integrity within the designated Procurement System
  • Assist with the creation of new process flows and coordination with Spain/US
  • Analyzing contracts to denote what legal obligations will be maintained during the course of BBVA’s relationship with vendors
  • Working with the team to track contract status and renewals
  • Assisting with new process flows and coordination with Spain/US

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree of Higher
  • 5-10 years of Experiences in Procurement/Sourcing
  • Working Knowledge of the RFx process
  • Familiarity with reading and analyzing legal documents
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Email, Calendar, Drive, & Sheets) & Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Workday functionality, or the ability to quickly learn and use new applications
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work environment
  • Well organized, self-motivated, and team player
  • Invested in relationship building
  • A willingness to invest in training and growth of team members
  • Experience in finance industry preferred
  • Spanish Proficiency is a plus (not required)

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $100,000.00 - 120,000.00. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
