The Opportunity: The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Architect will be a technical consultant to set up and support the rest of Technology organization with platforms and tools that enable Fisher's Observability platform (APM, Logging, Tracing, Alerting, Visualization, AIOps etc.). You will report to the Vice President of Application Engineering. The Application Engineering team provides the backbone systems that allow many information technology groups to perform their jobs, gain insight into their own processes, and solve the problems they encounter while achieving their goals. The Day-to-Day: Develop and own monitoring capabilities, strategy and... roadmaps in partnership with other technology groups Be a technical consultant to the SRE/AE team and rest of the organization on monitoring processes, tools and technologies Partner with SRE Manager to build a mature platform organization to help the rest of the IT organization in their Observability/SRE journey Design and implement SRE/Observability Framework, develop monitoring tooling across the stack, and optimize systems for uptime, performance, and reliability based on the data gathered by this tooling Experience performing analytics on incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take actions Partner with service owners to implement Service Level Metrics & Service Level Objectives that act as service level health indicators Measure, communicate and deliver on enterprise platforms stability, scalability and technology organizations maturity in DevOps Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline 10 years of information technology experience 5 years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience with SRE/Observability toolsets like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Splunk, Elastic, etc. 3 years Agile/Scrum experience 2 years of experience implementing monitoring strategies, setting up and supporting tools as part of Observability platform (On-prem and cloud) Experience architecting and automating application monitoring on-cloud and on-prem Experience developing tooling and processes to increase automation and adherence to security and audit controls Experience implementing tools/platforms in the SRE space U.S. candidates must be fully vaccinated as defined by the medical community against COVID-19 and provide proof of such vaccination by date of hire Why Fisher Investments: At Fisher Investments, we work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe.
