The Opportunity 

As Flock continues to expand its offering, we’re looking for a strong leader to drive our overall electrical strategy. This role is essential to shaping how we sell electrical services, improve efficiency, manage licensing, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols. By driving a holistic approach to program ownership, this leader will ensure our electrical operations align with our company’s goals, improve client satisfaction, and maintain our reputation for quality and reliability in the industry.

The Skillset 

  • 8+ years experience in the electrical industry; 4+years as a manager/people leader; startup experience a plus

  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g. NEC, NFPA, OSHA)

  • Strong understanding of licensing requirements and regulatory compliance at state and national level

  • Proven experience managing complex, end-to-end programs, including strategy, planning, execution and evaluation

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams

  • Exceptional ability to collaborate cross-functionally and align diverse teams toward a shared vision

  • Familiarity with sales processes and business development related to electrical services

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for process improvement

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and strategies to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, clients and team members

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Director, Electrical Program Flock Safety. 

The First 30 Days - listen & learn

  • Get out in the field and learn the product. You’ll do ride-alongs with our technicians and sit down with our Hardware Engineering team to learn the ins & outs of our entire product suite. 

  • You’ll meet with people across the company to identify opportunities for improvement and present your findings to your manager. 

The First 60 Days 

  • Take those opportunity areas and start deploying solutions. Drive the cross-team collaboration to get all stakeholders on board and deploy 2-3 changes. 

  • Use these as an opportunity to embed yourself within the broader Delivery organization and embrace Flock’s culture of innovation. 

90 Days & Beyond 

  • Present vision for long term team structure and longer term changes you need to make. 

  • Operate in the weeds with your team, while simultaneously planning for 6-12 months out. 

The Interview Process 

We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way. 

  1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are. 

  2. The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field. 

  3. The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day. 

  4. The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners. 

  5. The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more. 

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between  $161,000 and $221,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
