Job Description: Distribution AssociatePosition Summary:Overseeing the warehouse tasks in each retail store falls under the responsibility of the Distribution Associate. They are required to manage the work of warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators while also supporting the Receiving Distribution Associate in scheduling daily freight based on inventory and customer demands.Distribution Associate Major Duties:• Allocate the work hours of warehouse staff on a daily basis to ensure smooth shipment and reception activities.• Manage the activities that take place in the warehouse on a daily basis, including receiving and shipping of goods, maintenance, and inventory control.• At times, receiving errors can occur due to issues with the product or shipping information, which may require coordination with the customer to resolve.• Maintain the longevity of your warehouse equipment by ensuring that it undergoes regular preventive maintenance and repair.• By following OSHA guidelines, warehouse managers can ensure that their workers are protected from accidents and injuries while on the job.• Offer comprehensive training to associates to ensure they understand and adhere to standard protocols.• Address and resolve disputes between employees in a timely and diplomatic manner.• Work in harmony with other departments to achieve smooth functioning in the warehouse.• Our reports will provide a clear and concise overview of the company's progress, ensuring that critical information is readily available to management.• Monitor the movement of paperwork from the Receiving team and ensure it reaches the Inventory Control Specialist smoothly.• Correcting Variations in Shipping, Invoices, Packing Slips, and Receiver Reports.• Enforce the Audit Protocol for Purchasing Storage.• Simplify counting and inspection tasks by utilizing stage products in the process.• Proper storage and correct rotation of stock are essential for ensuring product quality and freshness.• Undertake other tasks as specified by the management.Distribution Associate Professional Background:• Experience in managing teams in a warehouse or distribution center for a minimum of one to three years is necessary.• Proven strengths in developing productive interpersonal relationships, fostering cohesive team dynamics, assigning duties and responsibilities, and overseeing outcomes.• Ability to partner with other departments with ease and effectiveness.• Exceptional communication aptitude (spoken and written).• Adept in performing simple math calculations.• Familiar with the operation and management of Windows-powered computer systems.• Proficiency in operating efficiently in a fast-paced work environment and completing tasks on time.• Availability to work additional hours during busy periods.PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS• One of the job prerequisites is the ability to move items that weigh up to 60 pounds on occasion and 20-30 pounds frequently.• Prowess in performing intricate actions and discerning tactile feedback when handling objects.• Going about daily tasks like standing, walking, and climbing can be second nature.About Us:Floor & Decor offers a comprehensive range of flooring surfaces and accessories in the US market, making them a leading specialty retailer.
