Food Service Worker - Saint Luke's Hospital - Full Time
Job Description
The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is currently looking for a Food Service Worker. This position is responsible for handling preparing and serving foods in accordance with written menu and sanitation regulations. Duties entail preparation of food service and delivery of food to customers restocking of supplies, sanitation of work areas dishes and equipment. Position also responsible for inventory control product rotation labeling and safe food handling practices to assure continued availability to customers. We provide our employees with the opportunity to grow in the health system, to move into leadership roles within the department or further their careers in new directions still within the health system.
The Shift:
Full-Time Position
Five day work week
Shift Times - 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Work Week – Monday to Friday & Rotating Weekends (Every other weekend)
Rotating holidays
The Work:
Washing dishes from cooks and room service
Receiving room service and cook dishes
Taking out trash and boxes from delivery for your area
Sweeping and mopping kitchen area
Completing other cleaning duties in the kitchen area
Collecting rehab cart from Rehab Institute and bringing back to the main kitchen area
Assisting in other Food Service and Cashier responsibilities as necessary
There are a variety of roles available within Nutrition and can include Food Runner, Tray Line, Food Prep, Dishwasher, Store Room, and more. The ideal candidate values teamwork and has great customer service. You’ll need to be able to work quickly and efficiently.
