About the Role: We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to use their domain and technical knowledge to bridge the gap between product development and product design. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a crucial leadership role in guiding the implementation software solutions to support Foresight Diagnostics’ business.
This position has flexibility for fully onsite, hybrid or remote work; if hired as remote worker, quarterly travel to our headquarters in Colorado is expected.
What You Will Bring:
Master's degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of experience working in a biotechnology environment that utilizes NGS.
Excellent communication, problem solving, and decision making skills.
Solid understanding of NGS workflows
Solid understanding of NGS analysis (bioinformatics).
Solid understanding of agile scrum software development.
Highly proficient in Python and Git
Working knowledge of software compliance regulations (IEC 62304, GDPR, Part 11, GxP, HIPPA)
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work effectively with remote teammates
Experience leading small technical teams.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP is a plus.
What You Will Do:
Work with internal stakeholders to understand their needs.
Translate stakeholders needs into a product vision and develop user stories to guide the development of the product.
Actively develop and maintain product backlogs.
Define sprint backlogs by prioritizing user stories to be implemented in a given sprint.
Evaluate agile team progress at sprint reviews.
Be available to clarify product vision and user stories as needed.
Work closely with the software development team in making important technical decisions.
Act as a liaison between the agile team and stakeholders.
Report on product KPIs and development progress.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, regulatory, product, and project management, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions
This role is offering a salary between $140,000-175,000, generous equity, along with medical, dental and vision benefits. You will be working on interesting problems with extremely high impact.
