Job Description:

We’re seeking a China Marketing Lead to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing & executing comprehensive marketing strategies that resonate with consumers of luxury brands in China. You will leverage your deep understanding of the Chinese digital ecosystem and native language skills to connect with our target audience effectively.  

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our planned Bicester location and our office near Guildford, but will also involve working out of our partner marketing agencies in central London. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the luxury & automotive field.

What you’ll do

·        Strategy Development: Create and implement marketing strategies tailored to the Chinese market, focusing on luxury consumers and their unique preferences.

  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of Chinese digital platforms (e.g., WeChat, Little Red, Douyin etc) to build awareness, desirability and engagement for the brand.     
  • Brand Development: Work closely with the Brand team to develop an effective naming, brand positioning & executional approach for China.  
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, from concept to analysis, ensuring they meet marketing, brand & communications objectives.
  • Editorial & content calendar development:  Lead the development & implementation of editorial & content calendars across the relevant Chinese digital platforms. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, sales, brand, creative & comms teams to ensure coherent, aligned brand activation across all channels.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse campaign performance and consumer engagement metrics to refine strategies and optimise marketing efforts.
  • Stakeholder & Partnership Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with partners, influencers, and media in the Chinese market to enhance brand visibility.
  • Agency partners: Build the right agency partner solution in market to support the delivery of key marketing & brand objectives.
  • Local teams: Lead the process of building effective local marketing & comms teams on the ground in market as required.

Who you are

  • Language Proficiency: Native Mandarin speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Luxury Brand Experience: Proven experience in marketing luxury brands to a Chinese consumer audience.
  • Digital Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding, and a demonstrable track record of the Chinese digital landscape, including social media, e-commerce, and emerging digital trends.
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Creativity & Innovation: A creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative marketing solutions.
