Assistant Buyer, Jewelry - Houston, TX

Location: 8760 Clay Road Houston, Texas 77080Employee Type: RegularWe offer a creative and friendly environment with plenty of opportunity for advancement.The Assistant Buyer will manage a category and will develop all content for products within that category, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies. This individual will also be responsible for monitoring their assigned category's performance on a weekly basis, analyzing their findings, and presenting this information to their cross-functional partners.What you'll do:Manage a category and all product development within that category; manage category pipeline and receipts.• Provide in depth comp and business strategy analysis for category; provide recommendations to cross-functional partners.• Create product content including product names and product descriptions; generate SEO rich content.• Monitor on-line sales performance and provide analysis on a weekly basis to determine inventory opportunities.• Analyze email and marketing performance weekly and communicate business performance to cross-functional partners.• Monitor site regularly to check for inconsistencies, errors and other customer experience or brand-enhancing improvements.• Manage product placement online; assist with merchandising and organizing online products.• Manage and analyze product inventory.• Other duties as assigned.What you bring:• Assistant Buying experience preferred.• Bachelor's degree preferred.• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.• Creative writing and naming abilities.• Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.• Writing or web copywriting experience a plus.• SEO experience a plus.• Experience in the retail industry a plus.• Knowledge of HTML a plus.• Experience in merchandise planning/inventory a plus.• Interest in women's fashion.Why francesca'sOur inclusive brand reflects our people and commitment to the world.
