Job Summary: 

FreedX is seeking for a PR/Communications Manager that will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans, managing media relations, and creating contents. 

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries, with a proven track record in media relations, content creation, and reputation management.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Communications Planning:
 

  • Develop and execute an integrated PR and communications strategy to build brand awareness, enhance reputation, and position the company as a trusted leader in the crypto/fintech space. 
  • Identify key messaging and value propositions that differentiate the brand and resonate with target audiences, including retail customers, institutional partners, and industry thought leaders. 

Media Relations & Outreach: 

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and key media contacts in the financial, tech, and blockchain sectors. 
  • Proactively secure press coverage, manage media inquiries, and prepare executives for interviews, speaking engagements, and conference panels. 

Content Development & Storytelling: 

  • Draft press releases, media pitches, thought leadership articles, and other communications materials that clearly articulate product announcements, market insights, and company milestones. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (marketing, product, legal) to ensure consistent brand messaging and maintain a unified voice across all communication channels. 

Crisis & Reputation Management: 

  • Monitor industry news, competitor activities, and market sentiment to identify potential reputation issues or crises. 
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans, ensuring prompt, transparent, and professional responses to sensitive situations. 

Social & Digital Communications: 

  • Align PR efforts with social media and digital marketing strategies, ensuring cohesive storytelling across owned channels (website, blog, newsletter, social platforms). 
  • Leverage multimedia content (videos, podcasts, webinars) to enhance brand visibility and credibility. 

Event & Speaking Engagements: 

  • Identify and secure opportunities for executives and subject matter experts to speak at relevant industry conferences, workshops, and webinars. 
  • Support event preparation, including talking points, presentation decks, and messaging frameworks. 

Analytics & Reporting: 

  • Track the impact of PR and communications initiatives through media coverage volume, sentiment analysis, share of voice, and referral traffic. 
  • Provide regular reporting to stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. 

Industry Insights & Thought Leadership: 

  • Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and financial technology. 
  • Advise senior leadership on communications opportunities that can strengthen brand authority and market positioning. 

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related fields, with at least 1–2 years in fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, or a similarly regulated environment. 
  • Proven track record in media relations and successful communication campaigns in dynamic, high-growth industries. 

Skills: 

  • Exceptional Writing & Editing: Ability to distill complex topics into clear, compelling narratives suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Media & Influencer Relations: Strong network of relevant media contacts and the ability to forge new relationships quickly. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Capacity to craft communication plans that align with broader business objectives and respond to evolving market conditions. 
  • Crisis Management: Demonstrated experience in managing sensitive issues, with a calm and strategic approach to problem-solving.
