We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years, with mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. Our Climax Mine is located between Frisco and Leadville – the seat of Lake County and the highest incorporated city in the United States. Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines At an elevation of over 10,000 feet, the rich historic town of Leadville is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Visit Welcome to Leadville, Colorado to learn more.  What You Will Do• Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at assigned site.• May collect samples which could include collection from rail cars or trucks in some locations• Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.• Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment• Perform other duties as requiredWhat You Bring To Freeport• Demonstrated knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsPreferred Qualifications• Associates related degreeWhat We Offer YouThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $20.00 - $27.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
