It's why we curate a selection of paints, and wallpapers, they don’t come in all the colours but THE colours. It's why we have an expert team of colour consultants on-hand to help with any decorating question, big or small. It's why we're building a supportive community of decorators to inspire each other with their projects.

Because we know that a small change in colour can have a huge impact on the way we feel.

Our curated selection of paints, wallpapers, and eco-supplies are both easy-to-use and quick to inspire. For everyone from first-timers and grand designers. Gone are the days of too much choice, feeling like you’re doing it alone, and messy, expensive sample pots. This is a fresh look for decorating.

About The Role

Operations is at the core of our business - from making sure that our products are high quality, available and in our customers' hands on time, to working out how we can scale whilst delivering an excellent service.

At Lick, we’re rapidly scaling and growing into new markets. We are looking for a talented individual to manage and scale our fulfilment and logistics operations and optimise our operational strategy as we shake up the world of home decor.

Owning the relationships with our 3PLs and delivery providers across the world, and partnering closely with our in-house Supply Chain team. Scaling up how we do things, ensuring best in class processes and methodologies internally and externally as we continue to expand in the UK, Europe and North America.

Reporting directly to our VP of Operations, you will play an integral role in our growth and success. You will be accountable for delivering against operational KPIs, driving continuous improvement in the delivery of our fulfilment promise, improving customer experience through a best in class strategy, as well as implementing and improving cost controls.


What you will be doing:

You will…

  • Help develop and own the strategy delivery for our fulfilment and logistics operations across our global customer base
  • Instigate and pioneer a number of projects in process improvement across our data-integration, last mile delivery and customer delivery/fulfilment experience; as part of our commitment to continuous improvement
  • Own and refine our fulfilment strategy alongside our supply chain team, and 3PL partners.
  • Partner closely with our Head of Sustainability to ensure we’re minimising our carbon footprint, and ensuring our entire value chain is leading the way in our carbon neutral business
  • Build a collaborative relationships with our Supply Chain Manager and Decorator Success Manager to help connect our decorators to the most loved products in the industry across a seamless value chain, and an unparalleled customer experience
  • Work with our finance team to closely manage budgetary performance and working capital
  • Engage key stakeholders, and the wider business, in regular performance updates across all areas within your remit
  • Proactively identify opportunities and share insights to improve/inform ways of working with other departments to drive efficiencies and the Decorator experience.
  • Occasionally embark on national and international travel to visit suppliers and partner

Requirements


Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in Operational performance, ideally within areas of fulfilment and logistics, covering areas such as: delivery promise, cost reduction and customer-centric continuous improvement
  • Experience building and managing relationships with external 3PL providers, with a collaborative and pro-active approach
  • Ideally experience and understanding of last-mile and middle-mile logistics, and an eye for the emerging opportunities and trends within them
  • Experience delivering operationally critical projects, ideally in areas of expansion, cost reduction and customer experience
  • Proven experience in using cost/benefit analysis to inform your big picture strategic thinking
  • Understanding of budget management and the makings of pick, pack and delivery financials is preferable

  • You are data-driven and use insights to inform your decision making and improve what you do and most importantly how you do it
  • You know not all data is in a spreadsheet and you can pull insights from observation and other sources, particularly drawing on your peers and network
  • You can navigate complex people situations with deft negotiation and influencing skills, earning trust of your peers as you go
  • Your verbal and written communication game is strong, you can clearly share your ideas and data to support them. You use plain language and don’t add unnecessary complexity
  • You are self-motivated and able to work under your own autonomy as well as part of a team
  • Experimentation is a natural instinct - you’re never afraid to suggest that ‘out there’ idea
