The opportunity

Solstice Consulting, LLC dba Kin + Carta (Chicago, IL) seeks Full Stack Engineer as follows:

Job Duties:

Partner with Fortune 500 clients in order to build enterprise grade cloud native applications with modern Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services) and cloud platforms. Support team members in order to deliver products to market in an efficient manner by producing high quality code for the full technological stack, from database to UI and everything in-between. Partner with top notch designers to create award winning user experiences that utilize modern web application frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS. Bridge the gap between elegant front-end design and existing enterprise backend architectures. Collaborate with the client development team to keep up with industry trends and innovations and apply industry knowledge to the existing codebase. Mentor less experienced engineers to foster their career path and growth.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, and five (5) years of work experience in Computer Engineering. Or, alternatively, Master’s Degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, and three (3) years of work experience in Computer Engineering.
• Three (3) years of experience gathering business requirements, coordinating testing, analyzing & design discussions and defining system problems.
• Three (3) years of experience conceptualizing, designing, and developing Client/Server systems, Web Applications, Windows Services, Web Services, and Desktop software solutions.
• Three (3) years of experience analyzing and documenting software requirements and specifications, Unified Modeling Language and ER Modeling.
• Three (3) years of experience analyzing current applications and recommending proactive changes to meet business goals.
• Three (3) years of experience understanding project expectations and effectively communicating when events may affect deliverables of a project.
• Three (3) years of experience in coordinating with business analysts, and other programmers to assist in resolving problems with software systems.
• Three (3) years of experience performing Unit and Integration testing on the applications using various testing methodologies.

Worksite & Travel: May travel to unanticipated locations in the United States. Telecommuting permitted.
