Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to drive the development and implementation of optimal cloud-based solutions on Azure and Google Cloud. As part of our engineering team, you will contribute to strategic cloud initiatives, establishing best practices for infrastructure management, deployment, and maintenance. You will play a key role in supporting cross-functional teams by providing thought leadership, mentorship, and guidance on cloud technologies to enhance our organization's cloud competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Solution Development: Work with lead architects to design, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure and Google Cloud, focusing on advanced analytics, data processing, and computational workloads.
  • Software Development Lifecycle Participation: Engage in all stages of the software development lifecycle for cloud-based solutions, from planning and requirements gathering through development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Incident Management: Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, document solutions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Cross-functional Training and Mentorship: Educate teams on cloud initiatives and provide training to enhance cloud competencies across the organization.
  • Proactive Issue Resolution: Demonstrate proactive problem-solving by identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact productivity.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cloud Experience: 3+ years in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on Azure and/or Google Cloud platforms.
  • Cloud Architecture Frameworks: Familiarity with cloud architecture frameworks, such as Azure Well-Architected Framework and Google Cloud Architecture Framework.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in one or more of the following: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including business analysts, developers, data scientists, and other subject-matter experts.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • API and Web Services: Familiarity with web services, REST APIs, and RPC.
  • Certifications: Relevant Azure and/or Google Cloud certifications.
