Python Developer (Full Stack)
- Migrate legacy applications to python
- Analyze legacy applications code and Learn the legacy applications’ functionalities
- Maintain existing applications, and provide support to users
- Work independently and/or with architect to design new applications
- Implement vision for new applications from functionalities, to front end UI design
- Interact with end users, and Government Lead, managers to understand new application’ requirements and support needs
- Reverse engineer the legacy application if necessary
- Use customers’ systems to maintain code
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of building consumer web applications or services
- Expert in Python (Django) and responsive front-end design (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
- Experience with version control systems (git) and cloud-based services (AWS, Linode, etc.)
- Self-motivated and accountable
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery and Backbone.js
- Proficiency with databases Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server (MSSQL)
- High attention to detail to maintain design integrity throughout the build process
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly and professionally interact with clients
- Unix/Linux experience
- Knowledge of deployment frameworks
- Experience with scripting, scheduling jobs etc.
- Experience working on Government contracts
- Skills in Ruby, Perl, and ColdFusion
- Experience with responsive design
- Experience with Java
- Experience with Django CMS or Ruby on Rails
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Grunt, Angular)
