The Role:


We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead and set the strategic direction for our flagship ads and pricing solutions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, data engineers, designers, product analysts, and other product managers to deliver the world’s best fan and supplier experience for last-minute live events, capitalizing on world class algorithmic capabilities. You will have comprehensive responsibility for the strategic vision, roadmap development, and execution across a portfolio of experiences, aiming to significantly enhance our market position and growth.  This area of the business represents one of the strategic assets that can accelerate user adoption, financial growth and competitive differentiation on both sides of the marketplace.  It brings the potential to create significant user value, trust and loyalty by providing unique and transparent value in a crowded and sometimes opaque industry

You enjoy engaging closely with users to grasp their needs, identify innovative technologies, and make informed, data-driven decisions to propel the company forward.

This role offers high visibility and the opportunity for a seasoned product leader to shape the strategic product and business trajectory.



What you will own:
  • Strategically guide the product vision for ads and pricing by leveraging your in-depth understanding of the market, audience, users, and opportunities, translating these insights into strategic actions, executable plans, and a dynamic product roadmap. 
  • Build a strategy that understands the short and long-term effects of our approach to these areas, assessing the impact on both the user and supplier sides of the marketplace
  • Utilize multiple qualitative and quantitative inputs including industry research, product analytics, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to build a strategy that elevates Gametime's positioning in the market and solves user needs in a differentiated and compelling way
  • Establish a new spirit and process for fast, iterative, user based learning to accelerate product findings and velocity throughout the development lifecycle
  • Partner closely with our algorithms team to define and drive the roadmap for our algorithmic-based experiences including pricing, value definition, and merchandising, 
  • Direct the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Establish the business case and articulate product specifications for new feature development to all stakeholders
  • Partner with Data Science and Engineering to launch and iterate on new machine learning models to increase value for consumers, suppliers, and Gametime.
  • Guide product analysts to interpret consumer and supplier behavior and A/B test findings with multiple variables at play 
  • Build a new collaboration model across Engineering, Data Science, QA, and Operations to design an efficient and high quality development cycle and ensure technical, quantitative, and operational inputs are taken into account in the product strategy
  • Champion best practices across the organization


What our ideal candidate has:
  • 10+ years of experience in marketplace software product management
  • 4+ years experience in leading machine learning or algorithmic-based products
  • Demonstrated experiencing in navigating the user experience around ad products, balancing the goals of enhancing user value with monetization
  • Experience in navigating pricing strategies, assessing short and long-term benefits of pricing at different levels of competitiveness in the market 
  • An expert level ability to manage cross-functionally, and build excitement, buy-in and commitment for the direction being pursued
  • Ability to create Best of Class product definition
  • Ability to quickly understand product and market dynamics
  • You excel at translating user conversations into actionable opportunities
  • Strong sense of data; passion for the customer and exceptional user experiences, with an agility to balance multiple different data points to guide an overall strategy 
  • Familiarity with machine learning models including pricing, recommendations, or advertising yield management 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build strong data-driven arguments, prioritize with business strategy in mind, and evangelize projects to build consensus within an organization
  • Team player with a track record of building strong, cross-functional working relationships focused on team performance, rather than on individual success
  • Nice to haves: Experience with retail marketplaces, delivery services, online travel agencies, or ticket reselling.

$250,000 - $280,000 a year
At Gametime pay ranges are subject to change and assigned to a job based on specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
