About The Position
Develop daily load forecast in coordination with Gas Control Center and Lead Gas Supply Executives. Coordinate daily system operations with Lead Gas Supply Executives and Gas Control for upstream interstate pipeline, storage, and gas supply resources along with on-system storage resources to meet next day and current day distribution system demands.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Perform daily gas supply, pipeline transportation capacity, and storage deliverability nominations via each pipeline’s Web-based computer systems.
  • Confirm daily schedules with pipelines, End User Transportation and Gas Control.
  • Implement storage injection/withdrawal plans for both off-system and on-system storage resources as directed by the Lead Gas Supply Executives, Gas Storage, and Gas Control.
  • Update and maintain storage inventory databases.
  • Document all daily operations for each pipeline with operations worksheets.
  • Monitor pipeline computer systems for emergency declarations, operational flow orders, and other significant operational information.
  • Perform capacity release transactions in accordance with Lead Gas Supply Executives’ direction. Enter and balance transactions in the Gas Management System.
  • Schedule gas flow using the Gas Management System. Verify transportation costs and fuel loss accuracy.
  • Download and maintain database of metered and allocated volumes for company’s transportation capacity and delivery points.
  • Download and maintain database of end-user transportation volumes.
  • Provide operational information to create monthly accounting and actualization reports.
  • Assist in the analysis of pipeline regulatory filings for operational impacts on company’s gas systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of data requests, testimony, and presentations before state regulatory commissions. Position currently requires 7:00 a.m. start time and after hours and weekend on-call duties. Start time may change due to industry practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or related field from an accredited college or university required. Minimum of 7 years related work experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Three or more years' experience in the energy industry in support of gas supply or gas operations required, preferably in gas scheduling.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong Excel worksheet skills, strong computer modeling/operating system skills. Good organization, decision-making, attention to detail, communication and teamwork skills.
