GTM ANZ Team

Our mission is to provide identity intelligence and fraud solutions on a global scale. Australia and New Zealand are central in the group’s overall expansion plans and presents GBG with a significant opportunity to address both existing and new clients' business objectives in the areas of customer onboarding and risk management. Importantly we consistently put the customer first and by doing so we focus on providing high quality customer service; this delivers improvements to the customer’s journey, which will generate enhanced profitability.

The role

The Senior Business Development Manager is pivotal in driving and accelerating our new business acquisition strategy, focusing on targeting and securing large, high-value accounts across key segments including Banking and Financial services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hunting new logos, exceptional charisma, and the ability to influence and inspire both clients and the sales team.

What you will do

  • Identify and target high-value prospects and new logos within our market.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasting, through effective use of CRM
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, including executive and C-level contacts.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with large accounts.
  • Collaborate with PS, Marketing and Product teams to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

What we are looking for

  • Extensive experience in business development or sales, with a focus on large account acquisition.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Charismatic leader with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Experience in BFSI required
  • Knowledge of AML/CTF regulations in Australia or New Zealand (preferred but not essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build a high level of trust with prospects and internal stakeholders
